Lola, the mother, who only talks to her plants, Fried the father, distracted and pensive, Scarlet and Rafael the two children, devoted to photography and sculpture, Pinta, interested in sport and handsome young men, Diego the uncle, an unsuccessful musician, Ibiza the trendy cousin, passionate about history and Vito, the trusted butler. GENRE - comedy, biographicalCARACTERISTICS - non-conformist
She talks almost exclusively about men, be it her son Fried, her grandson Rafael, or the up-and-coming young tennis instructor at the club. Wearing her easy-chic tracksuit, athletic but not overly so, she’s mad about chocolate.
He always wears strange overalls, a cross between those of a pilot from the past and a mechanic, he has almost regal posture, he frets about Scarlett, his beloved daughter, practically every second of the day, between a break on the golf course and cat naps which catch him unawares.
Extremely touchy and very focused on the family he works for, but above all he is obsessive about tidiness. Everything around has to be aligned, he would do the same to the planets if he could.
She lives for frames and perspectives, the world she perceives around her is invisible to most. She often wears roller skates instead of shoes, as though she always wants to be ready to take off. She talks almost exclusively about travels, particularly the ones she still has to embark on.
Serious to the point of being unfriendly, she is only interested in two things - history and fashion, and in that order. When one talks to her one has the distinct impression of disturbing her. She spends her days buried in the pages of her books, and she is the editor and sole employee of the newspaper she founded, “history repeating news”.
He leaves every word to the notes made by his sax, the music is the film score he would like to write but limits himself to merely thinking about. He already thinks that it is a small miracle. He doesn’t like getting his hair cut, in fact he hasn’t done so for years.
His curiosity knows no bounds, he always has something in his hand that he can explore, be it a piece of wood, a sheet of paper, or a flower. His hands hold the answers that his brilliant mind poses in the form of questions.
The whole family is at peace with the fact that Lola hasn’t talked for ages, except for with her plants. Nothing seems to engage her as much as leaves and flowers in her greenhouse, where she spends most of her time. She is madly in love with Fried, her husband.
The brainchild of Giulia Bonaldi, Milanese set designer and illustrator, the Eyepetizers family came to life on paper, sketches and collages form the outline and profiles of 8 characters, and are composed of nuances and unqiue, precise features. An eccentric family, they describe a world which is evolving, considered, despite everything, still precious and devoid of prejudice, mainly made up of passion, dreams, colour and imagination.
